It all started when I was clicking through some info on AOL the other day & came across an article titled “515 Chemicals Women Wear” (I suggest you read it, especially if you have teenage daughters!).   After my initial shock dissipated I was relieved that my family went green about 8 months ago with  SISEL’s safe, toxin free make up, shampoo etc. 

But for the prior 5 years I had used Biolage with the thought that it was safer than other brands, after all the name & that green leaf on the front must mean it’s safe… right!?   I still have a bottle so let’s see!

First of all I am 34 with 20/20 vision but the ingredients label is so small even I am having a hard time reading it! 

Ingredient #1 is water, no alarm there but the second ingredient is……………………………………………………..

Sodium Laureth Sulphate (no wonder it foamed so well), then Propylene Glycol, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Methylparaben (by now I am almost sick to my stomach & I am only 1/3 of the way through), Isobutylparaben, Disodium EDTA – I will just stop there.  This is disgusting, alarming, scary & very upsetting!  Do the people who formulate Biolage use it?  I hope not. 

Bottom line:  the above MAIN ingredients are scientifically proven to be endocrine disruptors, estrogen mimics,  & carcinogens: cause neurotoxicity, organ toxicity, developmental & reproductive toxicity & more.

What are you using EVERY day on your kids?  I urge you to read the labels and use 100% safe, toxin free personal care products.
